The Uffizi hours are simple, but there are some details that matter: last entry one hour before closing, closed on Mondays, different hours for the Vasari Corridor and the reduced rate for those entering in the afternoon.
We report the hours published on the official Uffizi page in October 2026. The museum also posts special openings, strikes and other changes there: check the page a few days before you go.
The answer in brief
The Uffizi are open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 8:15 to 18:30, with last entry at 17:30. They close every Monday, on 1 January and 25 December. The museum considers 2 hours the minimum time to visit the Gallery.
What are the Uffizi opening hours?
From Tuesday to Sunday, from 8:15 to 18:30; last entry at 17:30.
At 18:30 the staff invite visitors to start heading towards the exit. If you enter at the last entry time, you therefore have one hour. The ticket indicates an entry time: that is the one that counts, not the general opening time.
With a tour, the meeting point also counts. The listing for the small-group tour asks you to be at the meeting point 15 minutes before; if you have the PassePartout 5 Days you must present yourself at the Uffizi 15 minutes before the booked time. Also factor in the cloakroom and metal detector before the rooms.

When are the Uffizi closed?
Every Monday, 1 January and 25 December.
The Vasari Corridor follows the same closing days. Occasionally the museum announces extraordinary openings, and in that case the Corridor does not open if the opening falls on a Monday. Notices about strikes and reduced hours appear on the Uffizi page: if you are travelling on a specific date, check it first.

How long do you need to visit the Uffizi?
At least 2 hours: it is the «minimum time provided for the visit of the Gallery» in the Vasari Corridor regulations.
This is the only official indication of duration, and the museum uses it for those booking the Corridor: you enter the Uffizi 2 hours beforehand. Guided tours on GetYourGuide usually last 1.5 hours; the private tour 2 hours. Some tickets, like the one with audio guide, are valid for the whole day, but with a single entry.
The Gallery occupies two entire floors. If you also want to see the ancient sculptures in the corridors, allow extra time.
One and a half hours with a guide inside the Gallery, then you can stay as long as you like: ticket and headsets included.
Check dates for the small-group guided tourIs it better to visit the Uffizi in the morning or in the afternoon?
The museum does not indicate a better time; however, the afternoon has a lower rate for those entering from 16:00.
With the «Afternoon» promotion you pay €16 if you buy on the day and €20 if you buy in advance, instead of €25 or €29. Entering at 16:00 you have until 18:30, i.e. two and a half hours. Bear in mind two times: the museum audio guide is issued until 17:00, and the baby pit-stop stays open until 18:00.
In the morning you have more time ahead, and it is the only choice if you want to combine the Vasari Corridor, whose last turn is at 16:45.
What is the best time to visit the Uffizi?
The official advice is to buy in advance, «especially during periods of high attendance».
The museum explains it like this: buying in advance serves «to avoid long queues at the entrance and reduce waiting times». It does not publish data on crowding by hour or day, and we do not invent any.
A practical choice: decide whether flexibility or price suits you better. Buying on the day saves you €4 on the full-price ticket, but you rely on the times still available.

The hours are the normal ones, but entry is free and cannot be booked.
With «Domenica al Museo» the free ticket is collected at the entrance; priorities remain only for people with disabilities and pregnant women. Once you have collected the free ticket, the museum warns, you cannot go back or leave. The Vasari Corridor can also be visited that day, by booking online, within the limit of available places. More in the article on the free Sunday.
What are the Vasari Corridor hours?
From Tuesday to Sunday, with the first group at 10:15 and the last turn at 16:45.
At the Uffizi you enter 2 hours before the Corridor time, and the museum estimates at least 45 minutes to get from the entrance to the meeting point. On Friday evenings, from 3 July to 20 November 2026, the Corridor also opens from 19:00 to 23:00, with last access at 21:50. Everything else is in the Vasari Corridor guide.

What time does the Uffizi ticket office open?
On the official pages we consulted, there is no separate ticket office schedule under the loggia; the call centre answers every day from 8:00 to 19:00.
The ticket offices are under the loggia of Piazzale degli Uffizi; the information desk is in the left loggia, on the Piazza della Signoria side. To buy outside museum hours you have the site tickets.uffizi.it, open at all times. The call centre is at the freephone number 800 615 615, and at +39 055 0354135 from abroad and mobile phones.
An entry with a separate line for the group, according to the listing, and one and a half hours with a guide.
