Florence Duomo, up to the dome

A guided visit to the cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and the climb up Brunelleschi’s dome, with terraces or the Opera museum depending on the option. It is the complement to the Uffizi for those who want to see Florence from above too.

Florence Duomo: Dome, Terraces or Museum

The experience

All options have in common an authorised guide, a visit to the cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with reserved access, the climb up Brunelleschi's dome and headsets when needed. The rest varies: with the main English option there are the Duomo terraces, with another the Opera del Duomo museum, with another a walk in the centre. There is also a first-entry option, before opening to the public, where you see the cathedral lights being turned on. The listing includes a 72-hour pass for some monuments of the Duomo complex.

Before booking: the options do not add up, and language, season, itinerary, meeting point and inclusions change from one to another. In the Spanish options, for example, the museum is included in high season and the terraces in low season. For the dome there are 463 steps and no lift. The listing also lists a reserved or dedicated entrance to the cathedral among the excluded items, while among the included items it mentions reserved access: read the option summary before paying.

There is a dress code: knees and shoulders covered, for men and women. Shorts and tank tops are not allowed and entry may be refused. The price starts from $99 per person (GetYourGuide, October 2026), with a duration of 2.5 to 4.5 hours depending on the option. If you are also visiting the Uffizi on the same trip, the Uffizi ticket guide has the official prices of the Gallery.
