Uffizi Small-Group Tour and Vasari Corridor

The experience

The experience has two separate parts. The first is a one-and-a-half-hour guided tour of the Uffizi, in groups of up to 9 people, with an authorised guide: meeting at the statue of Leonardo da Vinci on Piazzale degli Uffizi, a brief introduction on the Medici and the building, then the checks and the rooms. The itinerary focuses on the second floor: the three Madonnas by Duccio, Cimabue and Giotto, Botticelli's Birth of Venus and Primavera, Leonardo's Annunciation and Adoration of the Magi, Michelangelo's Doni Tondo and Raphael's Madonna of the Goldfinch. The Venetian rooms with Titian and those of Caravaggio, on the first floor, remain outside the guided tour and you see them on your own afterwards.

The second part, only with the Corridor option, is a unguided one-way walk. The listing excludes the guided tour inside the Corridor, and the museum itself speaks of an accompaniment service and not a guided tour. Entry to the Corridor is about 2 hours after the start of the tour (for an 8:30 tour, around 10:45; the exact time is on the ticket): in the meantime you tour the Uffizi on your own. The listing recommends keeping 3.5 - 4 hours free in total. The Corridor ends beyond the Arno and from there you cannot re-enter the Uffizi.

The price starts from $50 per person (GetYourGuide, October 2026) and changes with the option: check the one with the Corridor for your date. The official Uffizi ticket is named and costs €25 if you buy it on the day, €29 if you buy it in advance; they sell it on tickets.uffizi.it, at the call centre and at the ticket office under the loggia of Piazzale degli Uffizi. The official Uffizi + Corridor ticket costs €43 on the day and €47 in advance, is named, with mandatory booking, and is non-refundable; this tour can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before. It does not include entry to the rest of Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Garden.

  • One and a half hours at the Uffizi with an authorised guide, up to 9 people
  • The masterpieces of the second floor, from Giotto to Raphael
  • In the option, the Vasari Corridor above Ponte Vecchio, about 750 metres
  • Exit to the Boboli Gardens, beyond the Arno
  • Free time at the Uffizi between the visit and the Corridor

How it works

  1. Meeting pointStatue of Leonardo da Vinci

You meet at the statue of Leonardo da Vinci on Piazzale degli Uffizi. The guide starts with a brief introduction about the Medici and the history of the building, then you go through security and up to the rooms.

  2. 1.5 hoursThe guided tour

The tour focuses on the second floor, where the most famous works are: Duccio, Cimabue and Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael. At the end, the guide shows you the entrance to the Corridor inside the museum and says goodbye.

  3. About 2 hours after the startFree time

Until the Corridor time, you stay in the Uffizi alone: this is the time for the first floor, with Titian and Caravaggio. The museum's rules indicate the meeting point for the Corridor in room D19 on the first floor, to be reached at least 5 minutes before.

  4. About 45 minutesThe Vasari Corridor

With the Corridor option, you walk above Ponte Vecchio along the passage built by Giorgio Vasari in 1565. The museum accompanies groups but does not provide a guided tour. Personal photos yes, videos no.

  5. ExitBoboli Garden

The route is one-way: you exit at the Grotta del Buontalenti, in the Boboli Gardens, and then from Palazzo Pitti. You do not return to the Uffizi, and entry to the rest of Pitti and Boboli is not included.

What travellers say

★★★★★

Vera, our guide, was very prepared and kind. She welcomed us warmly and then kept our attention alive by describing the details and explaining the meaning of the works. Seeing Botticelli's Birth of Venus was a special moment, with an excellent explanation. There were only 6 of us in our group [...]. Having booked at the last minute we felt lucky to be able to do this tour, especially with the Vasari Corridor option.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about painting. She explained everything very well and with enthusiasm. There is so much to see at the Uffizi and a one-and-a-half-hour tour only covers the main points. It was fine for me, but I would recommend a longer tour to an art lover.

Excellent tour. We really liked the small group and were able to ask many questions. I would recommend it.

Our guide Ilaria is the best guide I have ever had! Very knowledgeable! We learned many things we did not know about important artists. I give her 5 out of 5 with all my heart.

Tips before booking

  • Do not make other commitments immediately after: the listing advises keeping 3.5 - 4 hours free in total.
  • Leave large backpacks and suitcases at the hotel: bulky objects are not allowed in the Corridor, and the route ends beyond the Arno, far from the Uffizi cloakroom.
  • For the Corridor the Corridor regulations require you to be at the meeting point, in room D19, at least 5 minutes before: anyone who arrives late misses the visit.
  • If you use a museum audio guide, it must be returned before the Corridor.
  • Wheelchairs over 230 kg with the person, or longer than 120 cm, are not allowed in the Corridor: if this applies to you, check before booking.
